CSH Transport & Forwarding is a centrally-located, privately-owned logistics provider transporting and storing a wide variety of bulk liquids, dry freight hazardous & non-hazardous products.

 

Now in our fifth decade, CSH adheres to many international standards and constantly reviews and evolves practices and training. CSH currently has accreditation for ISO 14001 Environmental Management and ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification, Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA), SQAS, IASME for cyber security and Health & Safety amongst others. ISO 14001 – Environmental Management

 

 

The world’s most recognised environmental management system. CSH Transport’s daily operations are more sustainable whilst impact on the environment is reduced. Our responsibilities to ISO 14001 include effecting fuel and parts efficiencies, minimising vehicle emissions, reduction of engine noise pollution and impact on the environment.

SQAS – Safety and Quality Assessment for Sustainability

 

SQAS (Safety & Quality Assessment for Sustainability) is a system of uniform third party assessments to evaluate the performance of Logistics Service Providers and Chemical Distributors. SQAS assessments cover quality, safety, security, environment and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). SQAS is not a certification system; it is an assessment system that provides a detailed factual assessment report. The SQAS assessment reports allow chemical companies to evaluate their logistics service providers according to their own standards and requirements. SQAS is a key element of Responsible Care in logistics operations. CSH’s report number is 87646.

ADR – European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road

 

ADR, formally the Agreement of 30 September 1957 concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road is a 1957 United Nations treaty that governs transnational transport of hazardous materials. « ADR » is derived from the French name for the treaty: “Accord relatif au transport international des marchandises Dangereuses par Route”.

DGSA – Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor In-house

 

Along with annual external DGSA audits, David Ashworth, a key part of the CSH management team for over sixteen years, has secured his Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor qualification. In CSH’s drive to further our services and expertise to clients we believe a certified in-house DGSA greatly assists and reassures clients and their customers whose business is the field of hazardous substances. David also manages our Liquid Bulk operations and is available to consult with your business on a bespoke basis to discuss your specialist requirements.

 

FORS – Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme

 

CSH has recently started the application process for becoming a FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) accredited transport provider. FORS, along with SQAS, raises the quality levels within our fleet operations. FORS demonstrates that CSH Transport as an operator, achieves exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.

 

 

CPD – Continuing Professional Development

 

CPD Professional development

In-house trainers assess CSH drivers for safe and responsible driving and provide a comprehensive induction training. This includes health & safety, tactical driving, site rules, manual handling, fork-lift truck certification, VMS and POD along with continuous professional development with on-going assessment both in-house and with external trainers (e.g. CPC, Health & Safety).

 

Health and safety – IOSH

 

All safety and health policies are developed from the IOSH model and regularly monitored and updated. This is also tied in with outside accreditations such as ISO, SQAS and ADR.
