Logistics is in the blood
Stuart Haworth founded CSH Transport during 1979.
Stuart’s father Harry Haworth (pictured in the mid-50s) was a haulier for five decades so logistics is very much in the Haworth DNA. Stuart’s heritage is rooted in logistics and the industries of his birthplace in the heart Britain’s industrial North West. Stuart has evolved a lifetime passion for road transport logistics always with a focus on delivering exceptional service. CSH Transport’s mission is to deliver professional logistics services tailored to our clients’ needs with the utmost safety – Safety in Motion.
CSH offers a friendly, flexible service that provides existing and future clients with an excellent & sustainable logistics partner.

CSH Transport moved to its current premises at Shadsworth Business Park, Blackburn, Lancashire (Junction 5, M65) in 2007. We retained existing premises at Whitebirk Industrial Park (Blackburn, Lancs., Junction 6, M65) plus operate from a third base at one of the UK’s major industrial ports and accesses to Europe, Goole on the UK’s North East Coast.
Investment in warehousing and loading facilities during 2015/16 at the Shadsworth site has provided an excellent working environment for staff and management. Further works are planned for Spring 2019 to double our covered and secure storage offer whilst increasing loading and garaging facilities. Our Whitebirk Ind. Park location is home to our in-house maintenance and fleet management. Whitebirk also provides further interior and exterior storage and garaging capacity.
From only one HGV vehicle in 1979, CSH Transport now operates a fleet of 50 tractive units and 70 curtain-sided trailers and liquid bulk tankers. Daily we transport dry and liquid materials from hazardous (ADR) and non-hazardous chemicals to the likes of the paper pulp, food and water industries. We also regularly deliver dry and liquid goods to the engineering, automotive, textile, coatings and food industries.
Phase one of our Shadsworth expansion in 2016 included improving loading facilities and doubling our interior storage capability. The Shadsworth site has been most successful in providing an excellent working environment for our staff and management to progress. Plans for 2019 expansion include a 2500sq. m storage expansion, new paved areas for storage, vehicles and optimising H&S along with the introduction of environmentally-friendly electricity generation and water capture systems.
Investment in personnel, training and capital infrastructure has helped meet our clients’ needs since 1979 allowing CSH Transport to grow sustainably and progressively. Always with an eye on our clients’ future requirements CSH looks forwards with a passion to providing economical and environmentally sound transport solutions on your behalf.
