CSH Transport & Forwarding Ltd. is a transport, logistics and storage company operating  principally from our head office and warehouses in Shadsworth Business Park, Blackburn, BB1 2NW.

What type of information we may collect from you

-When you use our website (the type of data we collect when you visit our site may include your login data (including CSH’s Client Portal from April 2019), internet protocol addresses, browser type and version, browser plug-in types and versions, time zone setting and location, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this site as well as the types of products and services and searches you conduct to find our website.

-When you sign up to our email newsletter on our website

-When you contact us about our services by email, phone or online through the contact form

-When you apply on a job application form

-When you contact us for commercial enquiries

-When you confirm a storage or transportation job with us we will ask for necessary information including email, phone, website, bank payment details, delivery address, pick up address, full name at delivery address end, full name at pick up address end.

 

Why do we collect personal information

-You are actively receiving CSH Transport services from us

-Our banks, third-party IT solutions e.g. Sage or HMRC’s digital tax services.

-It is possible we may be required to disclose some information for legal purposes e.g. HMRC, healthcare and pensions.

 

How long do we keep your personal data for?

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity e.g. bank details in order to pay you, or for as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.

 

We hold your registration information for up to seven years to allow you to register for subsequent events without having to provide all the information again. You have full access to this information and the right to delete it at any time. Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may pass your information to our third party service providers, agent subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to process payments and send you email mailings). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties beyond the CSH Transport network for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

How do we secure personal data

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure it is treated securely.  Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. Where we have given (or where you have chosen) a password (as part of the client portal) which enables you to access certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone – employees should refer to CSH’s Cyber Security Policy and Password documentation or contact gdpr@cshtransport.com for further information.

 

We have put in place adequate, proportionate and appropriate security measures as is required of an authorised firm to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know such data. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
